What is Risky Building? How to Determine the Risky Structure?

In accordance with subparagraph "d" of Article 2 of Law No. 6306, "Risky Building" refers to the structure that is inside or outside the risky area and has completed its economic life or is at risk of collapse or severe damage, based on scientific and technical data.

How to know if the building is risky?

It is determined in accordance with the provisions of the "Regulation on Buildings to be Built in Earthquake Zones" published in the Official Gazette dated 06.03.2007 and numbered 26454. It is understood that the building has completed its economic life, that it will collapse in an earthquake or that there is a lot of heavy damage by the risk assessment institutions and the risk report to be taken.
